kk Frank Talk ;

(from MEN ABOUT TOWN)
__________________________

Frank is sure he knows Howard: both are New York actors, in their thirties and gay. Or are they?

A casual remark reveals that Howard is (gasp!) straight. Their conversation turns into Frank's inner dialogue as he argues about whether this revelation indicates a gulf in their friendship... or a failing in himself ("If after living in New York for ten years I still can't tell the difference between a gay man and a straight man, what hope is there for me?").

But in the scene's closing moments, Frank scrambles shamelessly and comically to prove their friendship can survive -- but more to wrangle an invitation to meet Howard's brother-in-law, who is a casting director.
